Alaska Expedition

I didn't have the pleasure of talking to Nathan but, Steve reports that yesterday Nathan went on an excursion that included riding an ATV. Yes, you heard me right. I guess it was a follow the leader kind of thing. Don't think Nathan was the leader. It was for the guests and he got to go along. Sounds like he did well and didn't have any trouble riding except for the trouble he got into for splashing some lady guest.

I'm not surprised to see him venturing back toward motorized land vehicles. He's said on more than one occasion that it was the most fun ever! He's never felt free'er. I can understand that. I don't have to like that he is considering getting back on that horse but I can understand that he wants to.

My prayer is that he'll be MUCH more careful should he decide to go down that road again.

Not much else new. Just thought I'd share that with you.

Have a fabulous day.

We love you all, Steve & Bev

8 Months!!!

Well, yesterday was 8 months since the accident. I continued to be marveled at how far Nathan has come in 8 months. It continues to make me say "WOW". He's amazing...

He's working 14 hour days at the Denali Resort. Another "WOW" when you think about it. He says his feet hate him. He' s definitely not used to standing for so long. Hopefully that will get better with time.

Talked to him today and he's hoping to make it into Fairbanks next week to see a movie. Guess there isn't much in the way of TV up there. The sad part is he doesn't get internet service either. He'll be in serious withdrawal by the end of August.

I wanted to ask a favor. I have two cousins Rose & Gloria who both have son's who have recently joined the military. Philip is in the Marines and Adam is in the Navy. I'd like to ask you to say a prayer for their safety and the safety of our troops that they should come home safely and soon.

Steve and I had last week off. We've spent it emptying out our garage. Steve put in two new windows (they look great) and he's going to finish the insulation, wiring and drywall. Then we'll put stuff back in their new homes and get rid of a multitude of junk! We rented a storage unit so we can have some place to put it all until we can get it back in. Works out great!

I have to head back to work tomorrow. Need to go back to work to rest. %-}

Hope this finds all of you enjoying this wonderful weather we've been having. Hard to believe that summer is still 3 weeks away. But, if you are from Washington, you know that this is all subject to change at any moment...

Love to all, Bev
