Monday 11/6/06

Today was a good day for the most part. I think the antibiotic that he's been taking makes him not feel good the first part of the day and then he isn't hungry. It's been tough getting him to eat. Determined today he's lost about 5 lbs. since last Wednesday. Unfortunately, he doesn't have an extra 5 to lose.

Today, after much effort he got into a wheelchair. Whew! That was really hard. Sometimes I have to wonder if PT/OT know what they're doing when it comes to transferring him. Seems like they totally wear him out and really don't teach him how to do it. However, I will say Thank God for that right arm. He'd never get anywhere if it weren't for that and I'm sure it will get better.

He got his hair washed for the first time in two weeks. I'm sure that had to feel terrific.

Of course tonight they brought him tuna salad for dinner. You can imagine how well that went over.... So he had microwave mac & cheese. Which surprisingly he ate all of.

Katy came to visit tonight. Was great to see her. Haven't seen her or many of the other kids for quite a few days. I know they're all super busy with school but we miss them.
